- "While this .223 bolt-action rifle lacks the punch to take on big game, it is highly useful for its extremely flat trajectories and accuracy. These characteristics make it the perfect tool for hunters looking to hit varmints at a longe range."
- ― In-Game Description
The .223 Docent bolt-action rifle with the second smallest caliber in the game. While it's difficult to take down big game with this rifle, its high accuracy perfect for small game hunts such as Red Fox, Coyotes or Roe Deer.
Ammo[]
As with most rifles, two variants of its ammunition are available:
Ammo | Penetration | Expansion | Class | Range | Price |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
.223 Soft-Point | 10 | 12 | 2-4 | 150m | 220 |
.223 Polymer-Tip | 20 | 3 | 2-4 | 150m | 350 |
Analysis[]
Despite the fact that Docent is free and practically a starter weapon, it is the best and unsurpassed solution for hunting its classes and does not need a paid replacement.
Its combat characteristics are the same as those of paid ZARZA-15 .223, but Docent has less weight and larger magazine.
Also, its accuracy and mass characteristics are better than ones of Ranger .243, and the lack of coverage of higher classes is not a problem, since more powerful weapons used on them anyway.
Paid Solokhin MN1890 Assembly Line designed for higher class hunting, shows lower penetration and accuracy characteristics.
The only weapon that competes with Docent in efficiency within their classes is the Zagan Varminter .22-250 from Emerald Coast. It has slightly more penetration, but a smaller magazine and slightly worse hipshot.
All other weapons for these classes are either single-shot or designed for point-blank shooting, i.e. practically useless.
Trivia[]
The .223 Docent is modeled after its real-life counterpart of the Blaser R8.
